Is this true? V. Beretta

I am searching for a Beretta, either the M9 or 92 series. I was looking around today and someone at a shop told me that the Beretta pistols sold in CA with 10rd mags are not able to accept standard capacity magazines such as 15rd+.

I can't believe this to be true and I would assume they just include 10rd mags rather than modify the pistol, but then again I don't really know. Is he just spreading false info around or are the truly modified in some way to prevent this?

Do they have a way of transferring to a CA FFL? You can't buy a gun in Nevada as a CA resident.

my first hand gun was bought in a reno pawnshop a day after i got married.
the pawn shop found a ca ffl dealer by my house then the pawn shop shipped it to my ffl and then i started my dros on it. i didnt even have a hsc card until i got back to california.

Were you having any kind of discussion around magazine parts kits? Such as, telling the guy he could just disassemble the mags and send it to your FFL?

If so, it was probably an excuse to not do that either due to policy or fear of getting in trouble.
