    9mm Recommendations for Women?

Can anyone recommend some 9mm handguns for my wife to try out? So far, she likes my Glock 19 and can shoot it fairly well. She has also tried a SigP226, S&W M&P9, Beretta 92FS, Springfield XD9 and the XD9 subcompact. Are there any other guns we should try renting? So far, she didn't really like the XD9 due to the weight, barrel length (leading to stiffer spring?) and the feel for the safety on the rear of the grip. She also didn't like the 92FS much. Should we be looking at H&K, Kahr, or other brands? She also needs a gun that gives her adequate grip. The grip on the Gen3 Glock 19 seems to be fine as well as the M&P9 and P226. The XD9 and 92FS seemed to have larger grips.

I don't know, but I think you pretty much answered your own questions. It will always boil down to what your wife likes shooting best with. Let her try some other rental pistols at a gun range.

Might be worth checking out the Sig Pro 2022 and Beretta PX4. I think both of them have interchangeable grips

            this thread again?

There is no WE when looking for a gun for your significant other...its a "what she likes and feels good with".

Go out and rent a bunch of guns and have her test them at the range...after that let her choose. Women don't care about brands and looks of the gun. As long as it fits and shoots good.

I can only offer this....I have a friend who's wife is LEO and she loves her Kahr for an off duty weapon. While looking for my first gun at one of the vendors here Tin Star Supply (yzernie) I held several Kahrs and the CW9 felt really good in my hand. Have her look at Kahrs as one of the choices.

My wife carries a 642 for concealed carry . She has shot pretty much all the semis but likes the 642.

Take her to the local range and let her try out some guns for herself.

My wife has a Kahr K9 and loves it. If your wife doesn't like the weight of the metal guns, she may prefer the P9.

Did she like the Sig P226? If even a little bit have her try the SigP229 elite.

my better half's absolute favorite is the hk p7m8..she love its, feels very safe with it and shoots it beautifully. her next favorite is the cz 75B. both are 9mm.
