well, online is really not THAT much better...In my local Big 5, a box of 45 acp is typically $26. Shipped to my house from sportsman's Guide, 45 ACP is roughly $23/box.

Where do you guys get yours for cheaper? what manufacturer/brand of ammo are you buying?

Compared to Big 5 (I don't buy ammo there) you're prices are good, but compared to Walmart (I do buy there) you're a couple bucks high, and then there's the freight.

It's not somewhat cheaper, it can be a lot cheaper. I always pay under $0.20/rd for 9mm shipped to my door. What is your price, including tax and gas to drive around the bay area looking for Walmarts that have ammo? Probably a lot more.

And the UPS guy is probably faster than waiting for the next gun show.

During the Great Ammo Drought the word was that guys from the local ranges and Big 5 were buying up all the ammo from Walmart & reselling at a healthy markup.

My question is, why are you BUYING ammo and not reloading? If you reload, you have it WHENEVER you want it.

If you arent shooting enough to justify reloading, your doing it wrong.
