It appears that he has a pair of AMT Hardballers for sale with custom grips and some cheesey engraving work done. What are regular AMT Hardballers worth, just out of interest?

In the computer game the Hitman did use AMT Hardballers, dubbed Silverballers. Only problem is Agent 47 never had the number 47 engraved on his grips. He actually had this logo on the grips :

Those hardballers seems to be in great condition except for all the crap engraved on them. A fair condition hardballer asking price is about $400, not too many folks like them due the older models galling. The slides they use to sell were a great match for Colt frames when making a target/bullseye gun, but those days were over when Caspian came out with their quality slides with a match fit option.

Don't get me wrong, I play and enjoy video games. And I shoot & love guns. But those two worlds don't mix on very many levels, and they should never mix on the level that this pair does. The engraving is a waste of two decent 1911s and the grips are laughable at best.

I think if you are going to replicate a movie or video game gun, at least get them reproduced accurately. Unlike this guy who has made up all the logos himself. In the video game, agent 47 uses an AMT Hardballer .45 with Long slide. I know I'm being nerdy about this, but if someone is asking $2200 for $800 worth of bubba'd guns, at least get it right!

I'd have found it less offensive if they had. Desert Eagles are fun to shoot, but not practical or "combat effective" for anything... so them being misrepresented in a movie wouldn't offend my devout respect for the 1911 and/or Col. Cooper's modern technique.

Not that Hitman did so, I've yet to see it. This goober and his pair of bubba'd AMTs offends slightly though.

ETA: wow... I honestly started my post before BigThai posted, and when I hit post and saw that we both referred to these guns as "bubba'd" in the exact same manner it made me both smile & laugh. It's entertaining that many of us are not only of the same mind, but apparently have garnered our take on things from similar original sources to end up with the same vocabulary.

In one of the games you could customize your guns to have long slides, but in general he just uses the normal 5" slide AMT.

Did anyone else see the preview where the trainer flips his wrist and fires, sending out a 'curve bullet'?

The thought of all the idiots going to the indoor range to try this makes me want to hold off on shooting until the movie blows over :P

That's almost as bad as the more-than-a-mile accurate shot with a once-fired bullet held in a barrel with a paper patch in 'Shooter'.

Curve bullet? Now I really don't wanna bother to see it. The Shooter thing, I agree was ridiculous but it's because they didn't think. The .408 will do accurate @ a mile, but the book was written over a century ago when paperpatch bullets were modern, and they failed to modernize the script/plot in that respect. They tried at least, more than we can say for some movies.

What do you mean you can't make a bullet curve? I make bullets curve all the time. I do it with rifles, handguns and shotguns firing slugs. It's not that hard to do.
