    New Ruger P345!

Hi All, so I got my new Ruger P345 and love it! I do have a few questions though. First off, does anyone recommend a IWB and OWB holsters for it? Second, has anyone used an recommend any particular JHP HD ammo for this specific firearm, or should I just go with the standard recommended and test those out? Third, and not really relating to this gun but is it alright to oil the INSIDE of the barrel? I've seen it recommended several times now and I've been doing that, just want to make sure.

    Thanks!

Oiling the inside of the barrel is ok, but you need to clean the oil out before shooting.

Hornady is a good ammo, as are most of the other usual suspects.

What I usually do is push that little mop thing that comes with the gun cleaning kits through it before shooting.

      I'll check out Hornady.

That is the way to do it. Otherwise you end up with burned oil which you get to clean out later.

Hornady has a smaller diameter tip on their JHP and has solved some failure to feed issues.

I bought a lot of Federal HST for my 9mm CZ's a few years ago, and it works fine. I had some Kahrs that did much better with Hornady than the Federal.

Congrats on your new ruger, I absolutley love mine. Very reliable and has eaten all different types of ammo that I put through it,including lead reloads.

The P345 will perfectly fit the Fobus SP11, even though the SP11 is made for Springfield Armory XD/HS2000

I use the P345/Fobus combo sometimes when I'm fishing

As for ammo it has eaten everything I have feed it. I dont think it is too picky on what to have for lunch.

If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there would be a shortage of fishing poles.
