    Muzzle Loader on CCW?

This is kind of an "out of curiosity" question, but is it possible to have a black powder gun on your CCW?

I think that most, if not all agencies reqire qaulifying with every firearm and that one needs to get off 2 or more shots in X seconds. No one can do that with a muzzleloader. Also, most agencies require that the firearm is registered to you. Most BP guns are not registered.

Why can't they get more then 2 shots off with a 6 shot Colt reproduction cap and ball?

Plus most agencies require qualifying that includes reloading in X amount of time...

Replaceable cylinders were the answer to quick reloads.

Someone passed their reading comprehension class. Obviously, there are some other who haven't. That said, I did not want to get into specialty guns like my old pepperbox. It does qualify as a muzzleloader (unlike C&B revolvers) but, I would think that if the OP had been thinking about pepperboxes, hw would have mentioned them.

You can not "replace a cylinder" on a muzzleloader.

Which in interesting in and of itself. Wouldn't the ability to show you can put as many rounds downrange as possible only decrease the level of public safety. The ability to put one shot where you want it should hold more weight. You'd think that they would welcome single shots on the permit.

I actually just bought my first muzzle loader, and never even thought about it(carrying it concealed). Of course it is the Traditions .50 Trapper and is about a foot long.....and sine open carry is illegal now it's not like i can stuff it in a sash or baldric.

My 10 day wait is order processing and fedex ground! Can't wait to shoot it.

What about a Pepper Box firing 8 rounds at a time?

Pepperboxes only fire one round at a time.

CSA the latter Pepper Boxes fired on a rotating cylinder, the early ones fired all at once in a volley.

CSA my bad the gun I'm thinking of is called a Jarre that fires in a volley. Pepperboxes came latter.

I was worried about holster availability, but I think I've got that covered. I've got to find a matching hat though. Something sassy that says, "Hey bad guys, here I come!"

He gets the crazy idea you're laughing at him.

I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.
