i got the .45 baby eagle it origionally came with a tanfoglio mag i was experiecing jams but i knew a guy with an eaa witness and he traded me the mag for a mec gar since the mag i had was identical to his factory mag it was a benefit to us both i called the company and bought a couple more magazines and in the magnum research package was a mec-gar mag (it was stamped one-pro) but its other markings and finish were identical to the mec-gar and work flawless

so i suggest mec-gar mags strongly

also i use lead reloads alot and since the origional barrel is a polygon tube

i use an eaa witness barrel

to use an eaa witness barrel it takes a minor modification

need to grind out the little area where the guide rod back touched it just needed to be a bit deeper the tiny dremmel grinding stone did the job

also its green tinge on the frame almost matches my m1carbine

              oops where to get them

              also here

I think I have a couple of new 10 rounders sitting here that I do not need. They maybe EOM. If you are interested then just pay for the shipping cost and they are yours. I am in Socal.

CZ, Baby Eagle, Tanfoglio, and Eaa Witness mags are interchangeable(given the same size frame).

If you are using the EAA mags, make sure they have the RED followers. They slightly re-designed the followers a few years ago and changed them from black (old style) to RED (new style).

Can you post more pics and details. I have been thinking about getting a baby eagle 45 for a while. This mod would give me exactly what I want.

just buy the standard eaa witness barrel and compare the 2 you will see what you need to grind (the imi barrel is cut deep the eaa has a slight knotch you only need to grind enough to make the back of the guide rod sit flush)

trust me its super easy mod it works without doing the mod but the guide rod sits a bit funny and will launch when you try fieldstripping it if you have a high speed rotary tool then you have the skill

my gripe is that eaa barrels are in the raw and rust if not taken care of
(they run about $100 from eaa)

the imi barrel is chromed really well and the polygon is smother than a glock

Do you notice any difference in accuracy with the longer barrel? Can you post some more pics.
