New CZ 75BD is having some feeding issues

Okay so I went to the range today and I put 100 rounds through the CZ. Ammo was Sellier & Bellot 9mm Police. After shooting 1 mag I had an issue. About round 6-7 had some trouble feeding. The last round ejected just fine but it seemed that the round got caught up on the base of the feed ramp. I closely looked at the barrel and there was no round in the barrel so I knew the last round ejected. All I did was just tap on the backside of the slide and the round went into the chamber/barrel and proceeded onward. This happened about 10 times. 3 times in 1 full 10 round mag.

Now sometimes when I pulled the trigger the round went bang, ejected normally and the next round got caught like before but in a split second it went in. So it felt like a half second delay when the slide went back and fourth.

I did all sorts of testing. Tried using only one mag at a time (only have 2) and both mags were the same. Half loaded my mags with 5 rounds (I have 10 rounders) and same thing. I did not have any other ammo on hand but I surely dont think its the ammo cause last times range trip I shot 100 rounds of the S&B with no issues. This is as much as I can describe in detail without having a video.

Keep in mind that this is a new gun and after today's range trip it has 300 rounds fired. When I cleaned it earlier this week the feed ramps were very clean and no carbon, dirt, grime whatever you want to call it was on it. Just shiny.

Any ideas what the issue could be?

Was the ammo shooting particularly soft? I know S&B is what CZ-UB uses to test fire the guns, but maybe the "police" is a bit lighter?

No ammo wasn't soft. The police is actually a little more higher in pressure but below +P

Best I can say is try some other ammo. If you have issues with others, then start worrying. Best ammo I have ran through my CZ's is RWS 124 grain.

Obviously this will not help you, since every gun is different...but I can say this:

When I first got my 75b, I had shot a few range guns and seen them fail to feed properly. On my first two range trips, I experienced a similar thing that you are seeing. I got worried, started questioning if CZ's design had a down-side. After breaking it in a bunch more, and adding more mags to the mix (and leaving them loaded up in the safe) I can report that I have had absolutely zero issues. The thing is just dead nuts reliable. I've since sold every other european semi auto in the safe. I would trust my life to this thing in a heartbeat. Even though I have other larger caliber weapons that are magnificent and reliable in their own right, I think if I ever needed to just have one, the 75b 9mm might be the one I take. It's just that good. If they could somehow make the exact same form factor without changing anything at all other than the caliber, I wouldn't own anything else.

In my limited experience, it would seem that "break-in" on other pistols seems to loosen them up, and make them shoot more consistently, but not better. With the CZ, the more rounds I put through it, the better it is. It's a masterpiece (to me).

I have used Sellier and Bellot on different caliber on all my handguns including a CZ75, I never have any issue with it and they are dead on reliable and clean

I could be. Really testing diff ammo is the first in the list of things to check.

Curious to see what happens. I have only had issues with some "mouse fart" Reloads I did that were a bit even under minimum power factor.

Where you shooting 115 gr or 124 gr ammo? I fired a CZ-75B that had similar feeding issues with 115 gr. ammo.

I have a CZ 75B-SA in 40 SW. I've had a couple of problems and found that the magazine wasn't getting locked in place even though I had used what I thought was enough force. After the first round or two they would drop a 32nd of an inch or so and the feed would jam.

Alright guys. Went to the range and shot some different ammo. Glad to report that it shot perfectly.

I bought 1 box of Winchester white box and 1 box of Federal. I only shot the Winchester and didn't have time to shoot the federal because I was at the range with a bunch of friends and multiple guns were preset. I will be going back to the range to finish the testing. But so far it sounds like a bad batch if ammo.

Glad to hear. I actually have good results with the WWB and Federal. Best groups are using RWS though still.
