    Lefty 9mm pistol recommendation

I need a recommendation for a pistol chambered in 9mm. I am left handed. It does not have to be on the roster. No preference on magazine release location.

    Minimum requirements
-Slidestop/slide release control that I can operate with left hand
-If safety is present I must be able to operate it with my left hand
-ammunition capacity must be greater than 9 rounds

HK P7M13. Expensive but 100% ambi. The P2000/P30 is another good one. I believe the new FN's are ambi also (FNP9?)

          M&p
I'm a lefty and use the .40 but same thing
Just move the mag release to other side works as well though I like it on the left easy to push with base of fingers

I'm left handed and have fired:

                Beretta 92 series
                HK USP with LH safety
                Glock
                S&W M&P
                1911 pistols with ambi safety

all worked fine in terms of control accessibility. Some that did NOT:

Sig (their rep told me when we were evaluating pistols for purchase by my department that they didn't make pistols for left handed people)
                Walther/S&W P99/SW99
1911 pattern pistols without ambi safety
                HK USP unless modified
I'm retired. That's right, retired. I don't want to hear about the cop who stopped you today or how you didn't think you should get a ticket. That just makes me grumpy!

You might try a CZ, the Sp-01 has an ambi-safety, a slide release that you can work with your trigger finger and it can hold 17 rounds in a free state. Also, very accurate and reliable.

                      I too am a lefty.

I have a beretta 92 very good out of the box. Took all of 10 min to switch the mag release around.

Springfield XD is also a good bet IMHO.

Correct me if I am wrong, but cant you just reverse the mag release to be on the opposite side of the frame?

Glock or Sigs. The Sigs decocker can be manipulated with the left index finger with general ease as well as the mag release. Same for Glocks. I just rack the slide by bringing my right hand over the slide. I gave up with extended slide stop levers because I found in training that it was too fine of a motor skill to manipulate consistently and slow to do it under stress/pressure.
