New ruger sp101 4"- will it be CA approved?

So I'm really digging the looks of the new ruger sp101 with the 4.2" barrel and fiberoptics.

The new .22lr version of the same revolver has been CA approved, is there any reason why the .357 isn't on the list, or is it simply a matter of time until it is approved?

Probably just a matter of time. Ruger is pretty good at getting its guns approved by California when possible.

I would expect it is only a matter of time.

Not digging that so much. I bought the SP101 for my wife, and chose the longer of the two barrels. I think it looks good, but the grip is so small that I wouldn't want any longer of a barrel (for looks). It would be a good revolver for a small handed person who wants a longer barrel, but it looks funny to me.
