    My first 1911

I'm buying my first 1911 very soon. I'm torn between the Springfield TRP Operator and the Springfield MC Operator Long Beach. (The Long Beach is basically the MC Operator + a magwell, VZ grips instead of the Packmeyer, and its all black.

I can get the Long Beach for $1250. The TRP is much more expensive (in the $1500-$1800 range and harder to find.

    Please help me decide. Thanks.

If you have the funds to buy the TRP, then go for it. It's much more but it's def. worth it.

Agreed, the slide fitment and trigger is going to be much better on the TRP. I have one and it's TIGHT!

I have an MC and a full rail TRP...I personally would go with the Long Beach just because that's not exactly a gun you will find again easily but the price may be a bit high for it.

ETA-Either way you can't go wrong, both guns are great. I will probably have my MC sent off for front strap checkering and have it redone in all black eventually.

Fallujah had become a magnet for foreign jihadists and there were several thousand in the city who had come to make martyrs of themselves, to die while killing as many Americans as possibleAt each house I said a prayer, 'Please God get me out of this one.' When I come out of the house, I thank Him, light up a cigarette and move on to the next onesigpic

Do you absolutely need a rail? You might wanna consider the standard TRP without the rail and with the standard barrel and bushing. I have one and I love that thing. It's the most accurate pistol I've ever fired. You can find one for around $1300-$1400.
