Does anyone have a contact # for Colt custom or refinishing shop? I've tried using the net but keep getting a "can't open that site" response.

About 5 years ago I sent my well-used Python back for a re-blue and a replacement of the hammer.(long story) The old Colt came back in beautiful shape, but the crane was warped in the re-blue process. Two of the chambers had drag on them when cycling. I was rather upset, and called the custom shop. They sent me a pre-payed shipping voucher, and in a week or two I got a call. The dude at the shop agreed they had screwed up and would make it right. What I got a week or two later was a brand new King Python with my old Python's s/n. Instant collector's item; a new model pistol with a 1973 s/n. As much as I enjoyed the new/old Python, a freind who is way more serious about collecting Colt's pistols offered me a deal I could not refuse, and I let the Python go. No regrets, the one-of-a-kind Python is in a good home.

I'd leave that Python you have as is. Shoot it, enjoy it, and only fix it if somethings broke.
