Sp2022 light & laser setup

Ok so I have read some post stating people are having issues with mounting lights or laser to their handgun. I have a sp2022 40sw and it is my HD gun. I was hoping to mount something on it but now I am very timid on doing so. Have any of you found out more info on how to fix the issue? Also I'm looking to get the light or laser at sportsmenguide.com cuz I have a $10 off coupon I can use and not looking to spend much as it might fail. Any suggestions on what I should get from that site? Thank you in advance.

yeah, I kinda didn't figure how to fix the issue.

Mine could be a lemon, buy the light, do not mount it for HD, just wait for the range, shoot it there and see how it operates.

If it doesn't work, save for the other guns, or send it back but a regular hand held light.

Thanks I'm going to do that. Now do u have any suggestions on ones I should look into? I seen a few on amazon but most likely going to get it from sportsmanguide so I can use a coupon.

I have a Viridian X5L on mine. Have not experienced any malfunctions with this setup.
