    Try here:

I have the brass one on my 34. It gives the gun some much-needed weight in my hand.

Depends on what you're looking for. The top two to me that are more geared towards competition would be either the Dawson Precision Ice (www.dawsonprecision.com) or the one from SJC (www.glockjockey.com). For something less large, the simple ones from companies like JP and Custom Glock Racing are far away the best.

Okay, newbie question here. I tried googling it but couldn't find a satisfactory answer.

What is the purpose of a magazine well? Is it to facilitate reloading the magazine, to give you a better grip, or something else?

You hit it on the head...twice, Greg. First, it facilitates rapid reloading of the magazine by giving the shooter a HUGE hole to hit with the mag. Second, it forces the gun down in the hand and minimizes the Glock grip angle complaint. At least those are the reasons I have one on my 34.

That ebay one looks like a cheap piece of junk....

Look into the dawsom ICE or the SJC

The one you have probably seen on my glock is the heavy Dawson Ice.

                Action Pistol is this weekend.
                Are you going?
You can shoot my new glock if you want.
All the go-fast parts are moved over onto it now.

I have tried the Dawson Ice heavy, the JP and the S&J Custom.

The S&J custom is HUGE. I currently have this one on my race gun.

The JP is nice but could use some dremel work to make inside bevel a little smoother.

The Dawson Ice is also good. Removable liner is a plus.

Out of these three the S&J Custom and the Dawson are my favorites.
