Bah! I need a range bag.

After a year, I'm so tired using my gym bag for the range. Looking for a medium/large range bag with two pull tabs so I can lock it for transport. Big enough for at least 6 handguns, where they don't need to be boxed. I saw some range bags that already have "holsters" sewn in inside. Would be great if I could fit my spotting scope, ear muffs, brass bag and other stuff (speed loader, mat, mags etc)

    Something for under $50.

WolfSamurai had a pretty cool one when we hung out, but I didn't take a pic inside. I totally forgot the name too.

Thanks guys, would love some pics.

This one from Midway USA is unbeatable in terms of utility and price. It's a bit big for some people but I find it very useful. You won't get 6 guns in it (or any typical range bag) but there are two removable gun cases plus two zippered slots in the removable inner handled bag. The outside magazine pocket is great and helps me keep track of my magazines.

It doesn't feel like it will make to hell and back but you simply won't find anything this well options for $40. Get it. You will like it and especially like that you got it so inexpensively.

^^^ I have the same Midway bag. Great bag. Shipping cost was high and there was almost a 4 week backlog at the time.

The regular size Midway bag talked about here is a pretty large bag. I have their compact bag which is almost identical to my CED bag. The CED bag is awesome but they are about 80 bucks. I shoot in IDPA matches and the Midway compact carries 2 1911's in their soft cases, 3-4 boxes of ammo, ear muffs, holster, mag pouches, glasses and whatever else in the main compartment and still has the side compartments for mags etc. In my opinion the regular bag is too big.

I use a laptop back pack. It's easy to throw it over the shoulder, padded, and enough space for guns, ammo, cleaning supplies, etc....

            Just a thought.

Can't go wrong with the Midway bag.

I like the Midway bags, too. Bought one (compact) for my son and it's been great.

The OP asked about locking for transport. Will the Midway bags do that (don't have immediate access to one)?

I use three. It depends on who's going shooting, where we're going, what we're shooting, etc.

I probably use this one the most from Bass Pro:
                      Redhead from BPS

This one from Cabela's isn't bad, especially for the $12.50 it's on sale for right now. I have multiples of these as they are great gear bags for under the seats of my truck.
                      Cabelas

Lastly, the LAPG Bail Out Bag:

I use two range bags according to needs preferring the smaller Galati over my Uncle Mikes for shorter indoor range sessions. I do tend to use a soft guitar case on occasion also...

Midway seems pretty cool. But someone mentioned that it doesn't have the two pull tabs :/

                            So does it have them?

Buy two midway bags, one for your guns and one for all the ammo you are going to make
