Hi Guys,
I am looking at a pre S80 Colt Combat Commander (steel frame, 9mm) that a fellow calgunner has for sale for $1300 (including 200 rounds of ammo and three magazines). This pistol was made around 1980.
I am trying to buy my first 1911 style pistol that will be fun to shoot and not lose too much value after I buy it. Is this type of pistol that I could shoot and not have the value go down? Is this a good basis for upgrading or will "upgrading" it make it less valuable? Is the price fair?
My brother says to just get a Kimber, but I'm always a sucker for something interesting...
