    Bore Brush s&w 500 ?

    I can't seem to find a bore brush for my new s&w 500 ? Anyone know if they even make them ?

    use a shotgun brush.

      Soak the bore in Hoppe's #9, take the gun to the Honda Center, and drive the Zamboni through it several times.

      Call Fowler's Gun Room in Orange and check with them... they typically have a very good selection of bore brushes. So does their sister store in Westminster (the Stockade)

        Look over by the blackpowder supplies they usually have 50 cal brushes there.

          If you're near me, I'll give you a couple that are too warn out for my BMGs. Since the bore of your 500 is .010 smaller than BMG bores, they should work fine.

            I often use a .500 brush for my 44 and 45 guns. helps if you shoot lead.

            28 ga shotgun diameter is .55 - maybe try that if you have hard deposits.

              I have a couple 50 cal brushes, but I use the boresnake and the Otis kit and have no problems with my barrel being dirty.
