I was in Elite Firearms in Mission Viejo yesterday and they had a pristine HK P7M10 for sale. It was the nickel finish and seemed to be at a pretty darn good price. I know that there are a lot of HK fans here and just thought I would throw this info out in case anyone was looking for one!

I sold a LNIB to a member here a few years ago.
They're a novelty, the grip is big, bulky and square. The gun is overall an ackward scale.Comment

The P7M13 is the ideal P7. It is not much fatter than the M8 and holds 13 rounds. It has a light (3.5 lbs) single action trigger once the cocking lever is depressed and it has probably what amounts to the lowest barrel axis of any semi-automatic limiting muzzle lift. Unlike tilting barrel designs, the P7 is practically immune to being limp wristed. The chamber is fluted like in MP5 SMGs, and the gun will extract and eject the cases even if you remove the extractor claw. The barrel is 4.13" which is almost 1 inch longer than in a Walther PPS although the guns are essentially the same overall length. Typical accuracy out of a P7 is about 1.25~1.5" groups at 25 yards, which is pretty darn good for a factory made combat pistol -- thanks in part to the stationary barrel.
The P7M10 is made only in very small numbers. Because the P7 relies on a gas piston to retard the slide's reward movement, it is technically speaking not a locked breech gun. The slide starts to move the moment the prime ignites the powder. But, because part of the gases are tapped off to a cylinder under the barrel and impinges against a piston pushing the slide forward, the reward movement of the slide is significantly less than a blow back pistol until the bullet leaves the barrel and the pressures in the bore and gas cylinder falls. Nonetheless, the slide is not locked. And in the case of the .40S&W P7M10, it was necessary to increase the slide mass significantly. The P7M10 (and the P7M7 in 45ACP for that matter) has bully slides. The P7M10 also has traditional rifling unlike the 9mm P7M8 and P7M13 which have mandrel forged polygonal rifling. This is because the anticipated production volume did not justify tooling up to do polygonal barrels for the M10.
One interesting thing about M10s is that for the most parts P7M10 magazines can be used in P7M13s. They'll generally feed reliably and hold 13 9mm rounds. This became a source for more affordable M13 magazines following the 10 round ban and the scarcity of M13 magazines leading to prices between $130 and $250 for a genuine M13 mag.Comment

I stumbled into Elite Firearms today and bought the P7M10, I have a P7M13 and P7M8 they are the most reliable and most accurate of all the guns I own. $3,500 is a fair price without the hassle of Gunbroker, or online sales.Comment
