    Browning Buckmark Question?

Maybe one of you Buckmark owners can help me out, I took off my rubber rap a round grips and as I was told would happen a few parts fell off. No big deal I got everything back together. My one question is with the Stop open latch assemble. This is the first thumb latch that keeps the slide back. Is this part spring loaded? I put it back in and the whole part seem really sloppy I dont' know if I lost the spring or if thats the way it is. [didnt" notice it before]I found a diagram on line and it doesnt" show one.

    Any help would be appreciated

seems like a rimfire topic, but have you tried youtube to search for an assembly video guide?

Midwayusa also has a bunch of videos, I'd look at mine but I'm not at home.

<goes to get his Buck and a screwdriver>

          I'm baaaack!

Under the slide stop there should be a v shaped spring with the lower leg of the V having a short leg bent out towards you on the end.
The short leg goes into the square hole in the stop.
The spring pressure is not much but it should push the SS downwards.

Try testing it for function with an unloaded magazine, it should take up the slack and lock the slide back on empty when you manually cycle the slide. I believe there is no spring tension on the slide release lever other than the normal magazine pressure... but honestly it's been a while since I've taken the grips off of my Buckmark...

Edit: Nevermind! ojisan has it covered

This was a helpful resource when I took my Buckmark apart for the first time.
