Depends on what it is actually worth. Just because you buy something, doesn't mean that double that price is a good deal. Could be worth triple or more what you bought it for for something so rare you can't ever get another.

For example, I will buy all the Apple stock you have to sell at double the original price it went for. Same with Google.

I would have to say there are some guns I wouldn't sell reguardless of value or price then there are some I would sell instantly for the right price. I have a rifle that I am always asked if I want to sell it and the price offered is top dollar or more. I will not sell it because it is my absolute favorite rifle I have ever shot,it is a 22 LR.

I used to feel a tie to some of my possesions but after 3 evacuations i realized its just "stuff". And the more you have the more it stops you from doing things.

I felt liberated when I sold most of gun collection.

This guy got the point of the topic.
It would be nice if people saying they would keep their guns say what they are.
Maybe 2x is a bit low but it's just a hypothetical question.
For all of you guys finding loopholes um good for you.

I like my Mossberg 500 and my Ruger P95, but for double the price, sure - I could live with not ever being able to own them again. I would not sell my P228.
It was not a threat. It was an exaggerated response to an uncompromising stance. I was taught never to make a threat unless you are prepared to carry it out and I am not a fan of carrying anything. Even watching other people carrying things makes me uncomfortable. Mainly because of the possibility they may ask me to help.

I would sell all of my guns...the Airsoft ones that is.

OK, how does this work for a DESIGN or PATTERN. Like 1911. If I sold my RIA Tactical for twice what I bought it for and bought a more expensive 1911, does that count? Or is it if I sell a 1911, I can't have anymore 1911s. If that were the case, then I wouldn't sell it. ANd if I sold a glock 17, can I buy back a glock 19 or 34 (which are just smaller and larger versions in the same caliber) or can I even buy any glock back? Or is it "sell a glock, can't buy back any glock?" Or, sell my RUger Mk2 and buy a Ruger Mk3, or Sell a 4" barelled somethign and buy back the same model in 5"?

So is it a particular make, model, size that we can't buy back?

Define same model? If I get in in stainless instead of blue, it is different.

I would sell my GLOCK 32 for double what I overpaid for it. I would then buy a GLOCK 23, and a GLOCK 32 barrel. With my Lone Wolf drop in 9mm barrel I now have one gun for 3 calibers, and 500 bucks in my pocket to buy another gun. Sounds like a great deal!

GLOCK 32 for sale, always cleaned and lubed after firing, ~1500 rounds fired total without issue. $1138 firm.

                          Any takers?

                            It depends.

There is an old saying that time is money. If I wait a few years on a waiting list for a rare gun, or wait 9 months for custom work to be done on a gun then that would need to apply towards the price.

You never get back the amount of time and money it costs for custom work anyways, so there really isn't much point to sell a custom gun.
