    Glock 19 Sight Help

I have a stock G19 with factory plastic sights, non night sights. I want to replace only the rear sight but not sure what sight will work with the factory front dot sight. Any sight but a night sight. I like dots, TFOs or plain black rear sights like Dawsons or Novaks. Please help, thanks.

    Why not replace both?

It would make more sense to replace the front sight. But yeah, since you're at it, why not do 'em both?

Probably will end up replacing both but wondering if there is any rear sight compatible with the factory front.

OEM sights are really wide, aftermarket rear sights won't work. You have to buy them as a set so the notch width and height work for your gun. Dawsons and Heines are interchangeable. Shown is a G17L with a Dawson Fiber Optic Front and Heine rear.

why don't you just flip the rear sight? Thats what I did. The stock sights work great for me. I don't need night sights.

I would suggest replacing both at the same time.
I have seen many of my limited division Glock front sights I use for Ipsc, fly away after 200 rounds of competition shooting. Glock oem factory front sights are just crimped on to the slide. If you take a needle nose plier and put it on your factory front site with out much pressure...it will come out.

One thing great about using other makers such as Dawson Precision, the front sight is installed with a set screw and red loctite which is very good.

All my Glocks wear Ameriglo Hack's. I find rear tritium to be overrated and unnecessary.

Glocks have been coming with screwed on front sights for some time now.

Redback 1, Jason Fella just came out with a sight he designed w/ Hilton Yam. It's similar to the Hackathorn sights. It's gotten good reviews.

Not to threadjack, but options are there for fiber optic with tritium? I've only seen TFO's so far, thanks!

                      WTB used AK MFER.

There are tons of options, if you like stock but want steel, glock actual makes the stocks sights in steel.

I run this combo on my G34. You need sight tool and some fitting to install. But I love the sight picture.

Have XS Bigdots on my CCW G36. They were easy to install without sight tool. Easy to pick up the big golf ball at the end of your slide but if I did it again I would go withstandard size front sight.

Found out that Trijicon and Aro Tek makes factory sights for Glock. I really like the Arotek since it has two screws for setting in the sight to the dove tail. Comes with tool and loctite. NO need for punching or drifting with a sight pusher. I also like the hackathorn pro glo sights someone hete recommended but getting them for my P226. But for the Glock I'm getting the Arotek.
