Op glad you and your gun are OK. I also own an LCP and love it. Hundreds of rounds and no issues, all factory ammo. I also own a 10/22 and 22/45 mk3 with no issues. Rugers are GTG for me.

The only 2 Rugers I own (SP101 and SR9) are tanks that run like they'll last forever. And I've shot a few others that all feel and run like good guns.
Like someone else said earlier, any and all gun makers are going to have a lemon here and there. After all, they're mechanical and are subject to some sort of break down at some point and time. And ocassionaly you'll have a gun (from any maker) that's going to fail the QC process with bad parts, fitting or what not. But to label any one maker as having junk guns based on a personal experience with one gun seems a bit closed minded to me.
You can scour the internet and find a large majority of gun owners calling Rugers great guns. That to me says more than the small percentage who've had issues with any particular gun.Comment

I did the same thing, I'm curious as to what Tankermans factual experiences were? I gave up after about thirty pages of past post, other than the One about a blinged out engraved gold handgun being one of the ugliest guns he's ever seen along with the same comment that Rugers are POS's , I didn't see any thing, but with over 15K post, I'm sure their in there some where.I was bored so I performed a few searches using specific key words.
All I found was one actual post about a LCP, but from what it looked like it was due to operator error. The other threads, all personal opinions or attacks towards Rugers because they just didn't like them or couldn't get used to them.
Tankerman I know your tired of posting your issues you've had with Rugers, but I wouldn't mind hearing about them.
I found several where folks don't like them, say they are cheap, say they copy
other manufactures designs, early LCP issues that were taken care of by a recall, and some Mini 14/30 issues that seem to be attributed to aftermarket mags, but nothing to lead me to believe that Rugers are POS.Comment
