I'll be a Glock armorer as of next Tuesday. But I'm not in Sacramento. There should be plenty of them up there, I'm sure someone will chime in for you.

Do it yourself. It's SUPER easy, and through the process you'll learn a lot about your pistol.

If you break something, Glock parts are CHEAP and available everywhere. Also, if you put things back together wrong, you'll know it immediately upon function testing. Just don't fire it without doing a bunch of function tests (dry fire, trigger safety, all controls).

I discovered it's virtually impossible to screw up a G17 through disassembly. I'm sure it can be done, but not if you're patient and following someone's directions

Yup.. just do it yourself. It shouldn't require any more work than it otherwise would to disassemle your piece for maintenance. It's truly a drop-in part.

If you're talking about a 3.5# connector + trigger stop.. then it's a little more work and you may want a armorer for that. Takes minor fitting and grinding.

Stop by river city guns, Don may be able to help you out. I normally would say bring it on over and I would do it for you as I am a glock armorer, but I live in the east bay area now. If you plan on heading this direction, (livermore/pleasanton/dublin) let me know and I will help you out.

How does one become a certified Glock Armorer?

To the OP, you can do this yourself. Follow the link above.

I use Glocks for competition and know a lot about them. Send me a PM if you need some help.
