    Question on preban G21 mags

I have three Glock 21 mags that I suspect may be preban. They are #4 on this chart.

They have the "45" stamped low on the mag, just above the witness holes.

However, all the preban G21 mags I have seen pop up are the U shaped notch examples, not the square notch. I just wanted to verify these are preban.

Also, if they are preban, what is their worth? I figured the CA boards would be a good place to ask this question.

There is no legal significance to when a magazine was made. You can't sell your high capacity magazine though.

they are worth the same as any other used rebuild kit since that is the only way you can sell them. Also, the market is flooded with rebuilds and gun shops that will break down new hi-cap mags into rebuilds for sale, so don't expect a large purse for unloading them.

Most civilization is based on cowardice. It's so easy to civilize by teaching cowardice. You water down the standards which would lead to bravery. You restrain the will. You regulate the appetites. You fence in the horizons. You make a law for every movement. You deny the existence of chaos. You teach even the children to breathe slowly. You tame.

Preban means squat in CA for purchasing/selling (unlike here in NY or other similar areas)

If you have preban mags, it means you had them before the mag ban took effect.

If you want to sell you “preban” mags for a pretty penny, CA is not the place to do it. Try a NY/NJ board/forum.

Please don’t take my post as harsh, a quick google search or reading the FAQs here would have answered your question.

Yep, nothing special about them in CA.

See also the magazine link, below.
