Glock problem

Hi guys,
So I took my glock 22 apart and removed the plate off the back of the slide. I didn't remove anything except the plate then i put it back on and put my glock back together. I went to remove the slide after and now it will not come off. I fire the trigger pull the slide back push the two release levers and slide forward and it just stops. Any ideas on what my problem could be?

Is the magazine in it? Are you pulling it back too far while engaging the release lever? Is the end cap all the way secure? Nothing you could do inside there could really cause this

No magazine, no more than normal and yes the cap is secure.

Is the firing pin safety properly seated?

Did you remove anything after you took off the plate?

What was the reason for removing the plate, especially with the gun still assembled?

When you dry fire before disassembly, can you hear the firing pin?

if the slide was assembled correctly and the back plate is secure, there should'nt be anything to prevent the slide from coming out.
sometimes, if the recoil spring was'nt properly seated, this may impede movement of slide.
