Operation Kimber .22 Conversion Kit complete

Bought a Kimber .22 Conversion Kit from Brownell's, cleaned and lubed it with CLP, and placed it on my brand spankin' new SA Mil-Spec which hadn't launched a single bullet yet.

Took the setup to Discount Gun Mart today.

Burned through 200 rounds of CCI (Velocitor, Stinger, and Mini Mags) without a glitch.

Mozambique drill from low ready at 15 yards:

As far as the target would go (50 yards?) slow fire bracing off the bench:

Did not adjust the sights at all from factory setting.

I'm pretty happy with the kit.

Nice! I wonder if I can get a 22 conversion unit for my SA Champion "Loaded" 4" stainless?

No offense but you should use something a little more than CLP for lube. I know what some say but that little bit of advice has caused some serious if not life threatening issues for some. Try doing a google on it. I' am not saying not to use it as I do but I also add Hoppe's oil to vital parts myself.

I have been using Breakfree CLP for lube and rust prevention on all my guns for probably 25+ years---works just fine as a lube and NO rust---can't think of anything better!

I find that CLP is a good for cleaning and coating for rust prevention but for lube on rails and the barrel I prefer to use gun oil like Tetra gun oil or Shooter's choice and for the rails some gun grease. runs smoother too.

I think the conversion should work. Here is the one I got:

Browse a HUGE selection of hunting rifles & shotguns, gun parts, gunsmithing tools, reloading equipment, ammo, and more! Brownells: Since 1939
