Beretta 96 and 92 experts step inside please

While at Local GS doing a PPT,
In the used Gun Case there is this Beretta 96 Brigadier INOX for sale S/N BER2359_ _
It also comes with a Beretta Black upper slide conversion with a barrel marked 9mm combo.
All Stainless even the controls seem to be stainless or at least they are silver in color
The Front and rear three dot Sights are Black
    Black rubber grips.
I am not new to Beretta for I own a 96FS already.
Love those Berettas, especial the Classic ones.
Price seems very fare and I have it in ten day lock up. Yup I bought it.
It comes with only one S&W 40 Magazine. So I need to buy some in 9mm for it.
    Here is my question.
What is the conversion kit worth? I know that the SIG Drop In Barrels are about $150.00 and that is for only the Barrel for I have some of these.
I see that the Brigadier has removable front sight and that the slide is beefed up by the rear area. What else can you tell me about the Brigadier Model. I believe the tag also named it as a G model. It is DA/SA with Safety Decocker lever on both sides of the slide.
It appears to be in almost excellent shape with only very little wear on the 9mm barrel falling block sides which are common on these Berettas.

    Thanks

PS it is going to fell really good walking out of Local GS the same day with two additions to my collection.

Wear on the locking blocks is a common sight.
Beretta had the combo deal pistols for a short while I cant remember when they came out with them.
As far as what its worth? Id say roughly $300+ for just the slide, barrel, magazine.
Slides alone cost $250 and up depending on model.
Were you planning on selling it?
Id say keep the combo, its 2 guns in 1!

250 would be cheap for a slide these days. They just aren't coming up as often as they used to (wish i'd been looking around for them when they were more plentiful.)

Definitely keep it if you get it.

Edit: Also, you can use your 96 mags for 9mm without issue most of the time. The 96 frames have wider feed ramps to accommodate the .40. The mags are the same dimensions, just have the 10 round limiting block in a different place. Nothing wrong with misuse of a magazine in this case.

I found this website when I was looking at spare parts for my 92FS that I used to have.

I sent you a PM. You have to be careful about cost of an 'upper' vs. 'slide'.
          upper = slide + barrel + locking block + slide rod/spring

Prices are all over the place for uppers these days. .
