I shot my friend's Auto Ordnance 1911A1 GI yesterday and it was fun.
I have a Baer TRS and I love shooting that gun too since it's so smooth and userfriendly with an awesome 3.75lb trigger, but shooting that GI just had this level of nostalgia and cool that I can't seem to put into words.
So now I want a GI style 1911 and have been looking at the RIA GI model. I shot ok with it, not nearly as good as the Baer, since the sights were a bit harder to acquire, but I'm sure with practice I could get better at it.
I have not felt the GI trigger on the RIA, but how does it feel to you guys who own one? Any creep at all? I shot a RIA Tactical and was very impressed with it at the price point, it was tight and accurate and felt great.
