                  .....

                  Naive question...

what's gimmicky/fake about his tests, other than the obvious fact that it's more of a "watch me beat the crap out of this" than any actual test? Or is that all you're saying? Pretty dumb video, but it was still amusing to me.

Anyone watch the vid where he blows up those tires? What type of explosive would allow them to fly that high in the air?

                  Thanks

What does shooting a gun with another gun prove? Notice how he only shot the slide and not the frame. What does throwing a gun in a hot stove prove? What does blowing up a gun prove?

The only relevant "torture tests" are ones where the gun can actually still be fired and functions after the test is performed.

It started off good with the gun being frozen in a block of ice, but as soon as he got the gun out of the ice "Russian style" he lost me.

I don't know, that looks pretty freakin cool to me. Thanks for posting that vid, Turo. You ever tried the stuff? I've seen Tannerite used a few times. A guy out in the desert lined up several cans under a old tv and blew them up. Threw the tv up in the air a decent height. Prett impressive. A lot more exciting than shooting golf balls and paper targets.

Makes sense. I was also thinking the purpose of his exhibition was to show how the gun could take all of that and still shoot. Guess not.

                          Thanks

Glocks are tuff, but Im pretty sure that bake job in the stove ruined it. Plastic doesnt do well with extreme heat.

I really want a G21 and seeing this knucklehead ruin a brand new one irks me.

What's one run for? I'm looking at picking up my first pistol in when we get our bonus in a few months. I like a 9 because I can shoot it all day long without hurting my pocket book too much, but it's not the most powerful thing in the world, and I have a difficult time hitting anything. I much prefer the 1911's I've shot, but they all seem to be $1000 and up, plus close to $0.50/round. Is the Glock upwards of $1000 too?
