    FFL in Fairfield?

Any working FFL's in the Fairfield area? Of the 3 Google can find:

One actually appears to be 2 (Metco and Cordelia Gun Exchange). Same phone number and no answer, just rolls to fax (tried multiple times over multiple days)

Twin Sisters rolls to vmail. Looks like it's a range as well.

Anyone know of any others for a PPT (hand gun)?

    Thanks.

I've had very good results with the PPTs I've done there.

I drove all the way from Lake County to do a transfer at Center Mass in Vacaville and found them helpful, friendly and smooth no BS transaction.

Tried calling this number lately? No answer this week...maybe it's a one man shop and he's on vacation...but doesn't look like it will pan out for me.

Seller is more north and I'm more south. Fairfield is the limit time/distance limit.

Twin Sisters is a shooting club, I do not know if they are an FFL or not.
Metco is not anybody I have heard of (that does not make them and less legit, could be a home grown FFL), I have lived in the area since 1988.
Vallejo I can not tell you about quality FFL's, as it is a small drive from me and as far as Vacaville you have Guns Fishing and Other Stuff or Center Mass. I have had no real problems with either as for transfer.

BTW OP, Vacaville is only 5 miles more on 80EB from Fairfield!

                Cordelia Gun Exchange in......

.....Cordelia. Right off the freeway next to what used to be Green Valley Middle School.

I "think" that is the place that used to be Metco? Somebody correct me on that if so.

                Various 1911s.
                Some revolvers.
                Some rifles.
Back to owning some of those "polymer" guns.

That is correct, one man operation and he holds odd hours. Best to try him late in the day he has been there a long time but use to only deal with LEO.

Cordelia Gun Exchange = Metco = 707-864-2666 = never an answer and rolls to fax screech....after ~15 attempts every day this week at varying times...done with them.

Yes, Coredlia used to be Metco. I'm surprised to hear there's no VM. I've gotten it before. I've done several transfers there. Last I was there (in the fall), they were open 9-6 and a few hours on Saturday.

I've transfered and shot at Center Mass as well, also good folks.

If you plan on using "Guns Fishing and Other Stuff" be aware that they have limited hours for PPTs...so don't just check their shop hours and figure you are good. Call and confirm their PPT hours.

They are not supposed to limit the PPT hours but I see more and more FFLs posting signs with different hours for PPTs...Just an FYI.

                        Good luck!

Avoid guns and fishing. I had a buddy call ahead to confirm being able to do a transfer. He got there and told him no. I tried to do one there, waited in line and when I got to the front and told them what I wanted, they told me that paying customers come first and I had to go to the back of the line. Will never do business there again. If you do a little research you will find that this is the norm and not an exception.

Center Mass is the place to go. Very friendly and helpful.
