Question about purchasing from CZ Custom

Hey guys I want to buy a CZ 75BD and CZ Custom is going to have them in by the end of this month. When you look at the product page for the gun it says that it has 16 round magazines instead of the 10. So I went to their FAQ page and it stated

I'm looking for a firearm that is on the California Department Of Justice(CA DOJ) handgun Roster; can you ship 2 10round magazines instead of the Hi Capacity magazines?
No problem, the law does not allow us the ship Hi Capacity magazine to certain states so we always swap the magazines for the appropriate legal magazine.

The only thing that I can think of is that the item number is 91130 which is the 16 round one where as the 01130 is the 10 round one. So if I buy this gun from them is my Gun Shop gonna freak out because the item number is not on the DOJ list?

My experience with czcustom was just as it was in the FAQ. I ordered an sp01 and they simply swapped the mags. If the BD is on roster they should simply swap them for you. Rob, who I sent numerous emails to was very helpful with my questions and they will answer these questions very quickly.

Now, thread jacking for a second, is the PCR on the roster? I know the 75D is and if im not mistaken the official model is 75D PCR so how is that looking? Same pistol?

      Okay thanks.

Regarding the PCR and 75D. To my knowledge, the CZ 75 D PCR is just the CZ 75 D Compact and yes the CZ 75 D is on the roster.

Just FYI, the 16 rd mags retail about $20. The 10 rounders retail for $45!!

So yes, we get screwed on round count but they are actually more expensive mags you are getting.

Yea it's because they have to put a block into every single one. So more materials = more $$$

Just bought a P01 from CZ Custom last month. They'll swap 10 rd mags for shipment to CA, no problem. Good folks to do business with.

Note, the 10 rd mags for the compacts and the full sized guns are exactly the same except for the baseplates, which are longer on the full sized mags.

            "Of course not!"

I have a CZ 75D PCR Compact, which I purchased from On Target Range. It is definitely on the roster, which is the listing that you are showing in your post. However, it is not very clear at first glance due to the vague description. You have to go by the "01194" SKU number, which indicates that it is the 75D PCR Compact. When I called different gun stores inquiring about purchasing one, I had a couple of them adamantly tell me that it wasn't on the roster even though I knew that it was based on the SKU number. Luckily, On Target Range had one in their gun case, and I bought it from them.

I believe the only difference between the 75D PCR Compact and the 75D Compact is that the 75D Compact has a tactical rail and the 75D PCR Compact doesn't. The 75D Compact looks just like the P-01. They may actually be the same gun with just different wording on the slides, but I'm not exactly sure.

The block is just a larger base assy that mates with a shorty mag body. So, assembling a neutered version takes the same time (and number of parts) as a std cap magazine.

10rnd mags are priced higher because they're made in lesser quantities than std magazines.

Alright I e-mailed rob and they got 2 BD's in stock so I just placed my order with them. Can't wait! Gotta pay by check cause they don't take American Express which is no big deal. Just gotta wait a few extra days ^_^

this doent make any sense to me, if there are numerous mags, some 10 rnd some 16, why not send 10's with a simple swap. From what I can tell on my cz 10rnd mags there are no blocks to speak of. what ever reason, they can easily charge more strictly based on "what are you gonna do".
