I was wondering if it was legal to purchase a sp89. I have a coworker who is willing to sell me his. Its not registered as a AW.

yea, just make sure theres a bullet button or the firearm is dissassembled.
Also, he can't give you any 30 rounders. Can give you rebuild kits though that you can pin to 10 rounders.

sp89 is not banned by name.

Yes, it needs a radlock/bullet button. Can't use any mags over 10 rounds.
If you ever decide to sell, I would buy it!

Not that hard once the flat is bent... get a kit like this sp89 if u can find one... I search on forums in other states, anything in cali is 3 to 4x more..

These things are about $3-4K on the open market. Assuming that you are talking that kind of money, make sure that you REALLY want this kind of gun before you spend it (assuming you aren't filty rich and money is no issue).

It is an odd duck. Have to use two hands to shoot, tough to use the sights. It's basically a grown up's toy...a very expensive toy.
