Uberti birds head Colt?

I did a search here and could not find much on these pistols. I am probably just not using the search function correctly.
Anyways, I am interested in getting an Uberti Colt replica with with a birds head grip. I think they are incredibly beautiful, and I have been in love with colt revolvers sins I was a little boy in Germany.
I know the Ruger Colt replicas are great solid pistols, but I really want a birds head grip.
Are the Uberti pistols any good? If I wanted to use a set of them in cowboy action shooting would they hold up to that? First hand shooters info on these?

Just saying; you can install birds head grips on Ruger Vaqueros.

I own 2x Cimarron (Uberti) Thunderers in .44 spl. They're great Cowboy Action guns.

I know Ruger made a birds head grip version of the Vaquero, but do the frames on the other Vaquero models except birds head grips?
I need to shoot one or both of those two Colt replicas.

At that point I might as well just buy the Uberti and save the money.
I guess I am just wondering if the Ruger Vaquero and Uberti 1873 BIRD’S HEAD are more or less equal in quality.
Can the factory plow handles on the Rugers be reshaped?

I think Ruger's are more rugged. Certainly they have a large following in action shooting as well.

As for the Birdshead grip from Midway, I've been in the waiting list for 6 months and haven't got an email from Midway yet.

When I do get one I plan on buying a Ruger in .45 auto (yes .45 auto)

I see they expect delivery in March...2012.

I have a Talo Birdshead .22 (and .22 magnum) that I love. Haven't shot it yet.
