    Gun Value question

With so many forums, it's hard to figure where to post this question, if this is the wrong forum, moderators please move to the appropriate forum.

First, this gun is not for sale yet, just trying to get an idea what it's worth for a deceased friends estate. Colt MK IV, series 80 .38 Super, s/n FG24404, 85-90% condition with one mag. Gun is completely stock, no mods.

What's it worth, and what would be a good price for a quick sale?

    Thanks in advance

I'm assuming no box and blued based on the amount of wear. $$650-750 quick sale, $950-1000 top dollar

One more question, is this gun legal to PPT in CA, ie the list?

Roster status is not an issue in face to face PPT's as long as the weapon does not run afoul of assault weapon prohibitions or large capacity magazine restrictions.
          Slow justice is no justice.

I was shooting a Glock when shooting a Glock wasn't cool.

Ppt is exempt from the roster. As long as he has a valid CA Id he can sell it to you

I thought 38 supers got a little better premium?...if you do a google search on "Colt Serial Numbers" you will get a web site that will give you the year of production - sorry I'm lazy today and didn't look it up.
