What to look on a used browning hi-power, what will be a good price, are the original grips a plus?

The clones are not true Hi-Powers, Get one that is made in Belgium, or made in Belgium and assembled in Portugal (there is no real difference). The supposed clones that are out there may or may not be OK, the FEG ones are not. The ones currently on the market from the Israeli army are old and absolutely worn out.

For a descent shooter I would try to get a MK. 2 or a Practical(pre mk 2) unless you want a collector grade gun.

A good example (in CA)will run from $600 to $900. I would not pay over $300 for a good clone(Argentinian)

The original walnut grips are desirable ($50-$60)

The fit and finish on an actual Browning are better than any of the clones I have seen.Most of the clones are good shooters.Being all steel,almost indestructable.

I've always like the military issues like the Inglis(canadian). Tangent sights, backstrap slot for shoulder stock/holster.
I do have a Browning though, had to get some work done on the trigger, it was pretty heavy.

I want an FN or Browning Hi Power but for around 300 bucks, the FEGs look pretty nice.
