I have a RIA 1911MS (mid size is a 4inch barrel). So far, I've shot about 300 rounds thru it, and it digests factory ammo without a problem, but I've had some problems with reloads..with about 10-15% of the time, the slide does not go into full battery, and I've had to push/tap the slide forward. I think it may still need a little more breaking-in with a few more hundred rounds.

I have no regrets with the RIA branding. I think it's a great solid build, but it does not have the 'brand-name appeal' that some feel is important. I'm not planning to sell it, but I do plan to do a lot of shooting with it.

I own the G.I. Champion. It took about 350 to 400 rounds to get it broke in. I don’t know if it’s the Parkerized finish but it likes a tad more lubricated along the frame to slide rails. I have to clean it every week; it picks up lint as bad as the screen in the clothes drier, more so around the back/bottom of the hammer. It will eat anything, Reloads, Factory, and Remanufactured. Steal case is kinda exciting, first time I have run it through a handgun. I trust it enough to put it on my permit and carry it EVERY DAY.

Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law' because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual.

A few years back, I picked-up a slightly used SA Champion "Loaded" model in stainless---nicely fitted, shoots right to point of aim, decent trigger, reliable---no drama---it's my only 1911 type pistol and I like it!
