    Why do we love Jerichos?

I've always had a thing for the IMI Jericho pistol. I find that no matter the importer, or the name on the slide, they share the universal qualities that make it so much more than a CZ-75 clone.

I wanted to share some of my reasons, and looking forward to hearing more reasons from other Jericho owners out here on Calguns.
    1. Jericho was the most iconic .40 pistol, overdesigned from the ground up to fire .41 AE which was almost identical in purpose to .40 S&W.
    2. Jericho has a full steel dust cover and frame for a hefty-solid feel
    3. Polygonal rifling for easy cleaning and more velocity

I'd figure I would share a picture of my UZI eagle to show everyone what I am talking about.

Did you know there is a guy trying to make a Spike Spiegel Jericho? Spike has a special crimson trace and a really chunky special grip. These guys are taking a full size model and adding those two parts from Japanese Airsoft guns.

Saym14. I believe the original oldest frames were made on Italian tooling in Israel. For example the oldest Jerichos have a slide mounted safety, but all the new completely IMI versions have a slide mounted decocker. The funny thing is with newer tanfoglios after series 88, you can mount their slides on the Jericho 941 with full function. The funniest thing is you will have both a slide mounted safety and a frame mounted one.

I'm quite happy with my IMI Baby Eagle bought it just before they became UZI. Always love the heft.

wow, can't really hate on the guy cause Spike's baby eagle is pretty sweet.

Great show btw, I am not asian enough to love anime, but Cowbow Bebop is a rare exception.

and built using parts supplied by the Italian arms house Tanfoglio, which had been making their own CZ-75 clones. Using a well-tested design allowed IMI to avoid the teething problems most new pistol designs experience, and subcontracting much of the basic fabrication work to Tanfoglio allowed IMI to quickly and economically put into production a pistol that would have enough Israeli content to satisfy government contract requirements.

                  Never cared for them.
I have a buddy actively searching for one.. I don't get it:?
Makes sense, the handguns I see worth owning are glocks and 1911s.

The current IWI Jerichos use a framed mounted safety/decocker.

I learned how to shoot pistols with my buddy's .45acp BDE, it was accurate, soft recoiling and very reliable. Its one of my top 5 guns I regret never picking up back when they were on the roster, especially because they were only around $400-450, much less when they were used.

I'm glad to see that they're finally getting more love than they used to, I guess since they're now off roster and seem kinda exotic, but it does come at a cost. These days, the overly inflated price or hassle is discouraging to me.

Non the less, it is one of the guns that I always hope to find a smoking deal on, when ever I'm checking out the Calguns classifieds or looking through the used/consignment shelves at LGSs.

Those are special made for Magnum Research.

The regular IWI manufactured Jerichos (marked Jericho, not "Baby Desert Eagle") have a frame mounted safety/decocker.
The Isrealis went back to the frame mounted control lever.
