SIG P-series trigger question

I've never seen that trigger enhancement before, so I can't be of much help. What I can tell you is that the best Sig trigger I've ever shot is a P226 that Bruce Gray had gone through. His work is amazing and if I shot my 226 more, I would probably send it there for work. -
im familiar with gray's guns, but he's usually rather busy especially with his CRRAP special he was just running. i was hoping to go with something else this time around.U.S. Army Combat Engineer

Do you know the correct procedure for testing your trigger reset drying firing on a bench?
-Check ensure clear
-Squeeze trigger until dry fire
-Hold trigger to full rearward position
-Cycle slide
-Slowly release "walk" trigger out until reset "click" is felt
The SRT kit makes a big difference with Sig. Also, some people make this confusion. The Short Reset Trigger is not a new trigger. The Short Trigger is a different part, it's a trigger. The SRT kit is a new sear and disconnector."If it wears out, replace it. If it breaks, upgrade." -Cranky Air Force Vet.

Love Sigs! All mine have the standard trigger so I was really excited when I received my Elite with The SRT trigger...... Truth be told, the SRT isn't that much of an upgrade. I wouldn't & won't pay the $ to change my other triggers.WTB: S&W 617 4" 10 shot Pre-LockComment

To clarify, it made quite a difference when I took it out and started shooting it. I followed the procedure that Plisk mentioned, but just didn't feel a discernable difference from the prior trigger that I had just un-installed. But I would install the SRT and short trigger again in a heartbeat as I quite like both of them now that I've actually shot a couple hundred rounds.Mag Lite (3 cell w/LED)

I have a P220 Elite Dark the came with a short reach trigger, I dont like it. I ordered a standard trigger from Brownell's yesterday. What I didn't like about ther short trigger is that my trigger finger get pinched between the back of the trigger and the wall of the trigger frame. In regards to the QTR, I was considering the work. Only two guys currently do the work, Robert Burke, The SigArmorer, and Gerry Ritacco, who founded the QTR, of Total Automation. I only would consider them b/c they employ only certified sig armorers and the factory warranty remains valid. Their turn around I heard is quicker.Comment

The difference you should feel with the SRT installed, is the distance you have to "walk" the trigger back out until it clicks. It resets at a shorter distance. To clarify, it made quite a difference when I took it out and started shooting it. sounds like the SRT does most of the work in SA. im looking for something that will bring the DA down and be more crisp, my SA portion doesnt bother me too much.Last edited by shooterfpga; 12-31-2011, 6:16 PM.U.S. Army Combat Engineer

Installed the new style hammer strut incuding with the E2 grip kit does lessen the DA pull. Dave Gray's Sig work does magic on the DA function."If it wears out, replace it. If it breaks, upgrade." -Cranky Air Force Vet.
