Good price. I've had an SR9c for about a year. This was my first striker-fired pistol - and some advice about this particular model that I followed.
There is sometimes a lot of packing grease - the grease in the striker channel has caused FTF in many of these new pistols during break in. I went on youtube and found out to dis-assemble the stiker mechanism, clean her out good, re-lubed, and she has shot great. The cheapest gun in my stable, shoots as good and accurate as my Sigs and Kimber. The rear sight is adjustable windage & elevation. The only thing I've done is install a "Ghost Ultimate" trigger bar - it slightly lightens the trigger pull and eliminates the trigger over-travel.

i've seen people remove the magazine disconnect to both improve trigger pull, improve the overall reliability of the weapon, and also so you can dry-fire without a magazine in place.

Any thoughts on this?

I did remove the magazine disconnect - it slightly improved the trigger pull. You'll see why when you remove the striker mechanism to clean out the stiker channel.
I don't have an issue removing this, the red chamber indicator really sticks out like a sore thumb and IMHO makes up for the lack of the magazine disconnect. These pistols have a 4 safety features. Magazine disconnect, trigger, chamber indicator, and manual external safety.

Through out the past many years of trading, buying and selling i've notice there is alot of good value in rugers. They are very reliable and the priced very well. I used to own a ruger p95 now sold, but that thing was a tank, went bang when i needed it to, no problems, now i own a ruger mark III (this one i think i'm going to sell too), Ruger single six, Ruger LC9 and haven't had a problem at all.

The only reason i didn't purchase the SR lineup is because of the experience i had with one. Before i buy a pistol i tend to test them out at the range, When i rented the Sr9c at the range the gun didn't fire, after taking a look at the bullet i noticed a light primer strike, so i asked the range to give it a good cleaning and recieved a different Sr9c... Same problem... so i changed that for the SR9 and noticed the same problem. After about five pistol swaps i decided to load the ammo into my sig p226 to see if it's the ammo, all the rounds fired fine.
Went online to see and sure enough there was a problem with light primer strikes on the older models. I believe ruger fixed this issue, but i never ended up buying the SR line up.

Let us know how yours fires after a couple hundred rounds, because now i'm looking at the Sr line up again but b/c of my bad experience i want to know what others think first.
