A little more than a 4" .44 corbon load, with a proper grip. In .50ae.

Is it brand new? MK XIX Model? If so, that's a fair price. Not a screaming deal, but fair.

Recoil on the .44 is not bad at all.....couple girlfriends who have tried it really, really liked it.......and the 12 ga...seriously! Who says size doesn't matter?!

The recoil on the DE .44 mag is surprisingly light.... notably better than the 4" 629. It's probably closer to your G20 shooting +p than the Super Redhawk.

The DE is bulky and heavy though.... you'll probably find that you prefer to carry your Ruger in the field. Not wanting to pack a .44 around kind of defeats the purpose of owning one IMO since it's most useful purpose is field/mountain carry. I've shot the DE pistols and they're fun, but I wouldn't use one other than at the range if that Super Redhawk was an option.

If you want a really versatile autoloader that packs a low-to-mid range .41 magnum punch I would recommend that you look at the G20. It's smaller, lighter, and for the $$ you'll spend on the DE you can pick up a G20 and 6" Jarvis, BarSto, etc and really increase your accuracy/ballistics for a lot less. Once you play with that 10mm in full-house loadings you'll be hooked.... Ask me how I know.

I like the DE, just not for packing around anywhere. Just my $.02......

Yes. All you need for a .50 conversion is the barrel and magazine. That's a good price for a new one. Recoil of the .44 DE is much lighter than in a revolver. Now the .50 is another story.

What's the story with the .45 acp note under the DE add? Typo?

Their whole holiday flyer is online:

Good stuff starts around page 16, guns on 25.

                          S&W 642 for $400 doesn't sound too bad.

.45 acp for $499.xx is probably for Baby Eagle.
