Ruger Redhawk rattle sound

I have a Ruger Redhawk revolver 4 inch in 45 Colt. When I shake the gun from side to side I hear a rattle type sound. Anybody know what it might be?
Any info is appreciated.

All Ruger revolvers make that noise. I think it has to do with the hammer block plate thingy.

I believe it is the ejector rod and it's attached lever. Rugers have a non-concentric ejector rod as, besides ejecting the shells, it needs to release the crane/cylinder

My SP101 rattles and it is the ejector rod contacting the shroud.

It's the transfer bar. This part is there as a safety so you can load all of the cyl. It's supposed to not let the hammer hit the firing pin if dropped. Unload your gun then pull back the hammer into lock position you will then see this part in front of the firing pin.

Hmmm, I will go shake my redhawk and hear what happens...yep, just a bit.

+1 for the transfer bar. My Redhawk has the same slight rattle. Nothing to worry about IMO.

Thanks to everyone who posted info on this. This sound was a bit unnerving at first; but, looks like it is normal for Ruger revolvers and nothing to worry about. Happy New Year to all.
