FYI-If you want a 38 superauto, you should consider the 357 Sig. It uses the same size bullet, and has close to the same velocity. The benefit to having a gun in 357 Sig, is that you only need a barrel change to shoot 40S&W. They both use the same mags.*

The are still making the basic version (not on their web-site anymore model O2991), and they look to be going for 1k, on gun broker.
So, anything under that, depending on the condition.
They are currently make the .38 super->special combat government.
MSRP new ~$1,900, market price new seems to be ~$1,600 from a dealer.
Series 70, perfectly condition blued...that's for the collectors

"Enhanced" Colt Super .38 from the 90's, shown here with Hakan Pek grips; I've since restored the gun to its original configuration with a factory "duckbill" grip safety.
