Looking for 3 handguns need caliber suggestions

Lookin to buy 3 handguns. I shot em all and like em all but need one of each. Curious what whould you guys suggest as far as the caliber goes. Mixing would be nice as I don't want all three in the same caliber.

    1. Glock 17 or 22
    2. HK USP 9mm or 40sw
    3. SiG P226 9mm or 40sw

I shoot more 9mm because of the price, but I own more 40s than any other caliber.

    My vote goes for 40SW.

Just my opinion, but Glock 17 cause I think FS Glock is awesome in 9mm.

I have a p226 in.40, I shot 9mm versions as well, I love the p226 in .40 because of the weight and it's all metal. .40 is a lot snappier, but it's more controllable than polymer , IMHO. Shot XD40, didn't like it that much.

If you are gonna get an HK USP, get a .45 they are just more fun that way.

      Edit:

Nothing wrong with polymer, some people say just because it's light, doesn't mean it has more recoil, polymer by nature is a shock absorbing material. I have sp2022 in .40 and it's good and fun to shoot, I just think all metal p226 is still more superior when it comes to recoil absorption with the .40 caliber round. Just my $.02

Thanks. That settled it. Though HK I'm probably gonna get the 40.

          Glock 17
          Sig in 40
          HK in 40

I have a Glock 17 and a 22. If I had to do it over again, I would just buy the 22 and an aftermarket barrel to shoot 9mm and a couple of Glock 17 magazines.

I have a Lonewolf barrel for my Glock 22. I didn't change the ejector or extractor and it works without a problem. I also have an Advantage Arms .22 conversion, so I now have a multicaliber handgun: 40 Smith and Wesson, 9mm Luger, and .22 rimfire.

              Do you own a 9mm?

Get the HK in 9mm if you don't. Get the Sig in 40 S&W. Get the Glock that suites your hand and feels the best.

Sig is based in Exeter, NH and has a great parts distribution network.

What about a compact model? A Glock 19 or 23? Every pistol mention is full size.
What about the Sig 229? And as stated befor 9mm is cheaper to shoot, but I think one 45 would be a good choice also.
                      Just a thought.

I don't get it, I have a German made sig and one American made. I love them both and I think they are both well made. Some people say that American made have crappy quality and issues with the external extractor . I honestly think that the Swiss wouldn't make a ****ty product in America and sell it. I will buy a sig no matter where it's made, if German, cool its authentic, if American , at least I'm supporting the American economy.
