XD .40

I've been shopping for a XD .40 and .45 (but may just get the .40 since I have stuff laying around for it). Any of you guys own the standard 4 inch model? Are yo happy with it? I've only shot the .40 sub compact, loved it.

I found I like the XD platform best of all striker fire models. I don't like the 45 however because of the bulkier grip. So a 40 is about as much as I'd take.

I love mine. I got a 9mm barrel and it shoots great with both. You can even use the .40 mags with the 9mm barrel

I currently own a XD40 Tactical 5in barrel. Its a great pistol and worth every penny. If the price is right get it.

i've got an xd40. standard. 4in. depends on what you're lookin for but if i had to do it over again, i'd probably get an XDM40, 4.5 with all the farkles... not sayin its a bad gun... just my two cents.

I had 3 at one time. Still have one and used it for uspsa. I like it very much.

Yea as much as I want a 4.5 inch model I need something more compact. Needless to say, I will most def get a 4.5 inch .45 model after this one.

I have had my 4"(man that sounds bad)lol, XD40 for six years now and love it. It has been an easy gun to shoot and a reliable gun for all those years.

I have had my xd40 for about 3 months and it has shot flawlessly with about 1k rounds through it.

I have a xd 45 service model, and love it, pick it over my glock 21. I just put a xd 40 sub compact into jail, can't wait til i can pick it up. You can never go wrong with the xd line up.

I have the 4" .40 I love it put a few thousand down the pipe and shoots real straight and never had a problem.

Yup I agree .40 or .45 can't go wrong. For me I think I will take a XD 4" .45 first. I been testing them out at the range and that 45 is just awesome gun. This is one of the guns to buy on my list..

i had a xd 40 service sweet gun you will love it, was super reliable , good heft , accurate unfortunately i had to sell to pay some other expenses but best believe as soon as opportunity presents itself will buy another

I love the XD guns in general but I find myself being able to do follow up shots more accuratly with a 9 or a 45 than a 40
