    Roster Question

I was at Lock N Load Tactical in Henderson, NV the other week and my lady saw the Sig Mosquito in Purple and fell in love. My question is does the exact part number have to be on the roster since technically all the Sig Mosquito's are the same? My mom does live in Henderson so I could go that route if I needed too.

SOMETIMES THE BUZZ IS GOOD. The buzz about the SIG SAUER® Mosquito, is that–this scaled down, rimfire version of the company’s popular P226® reduces the nois

Yup gotta match exactly...the finish and even grips could change roster eligibility.

Lots of FFLs have been selling the Black/Pink version as:

"Mosquito (Two Tone) / Steel, Polymer"

You'll probably see the Black/Purple version sold the same way.

Do know any dealers that have done that in Orange County.

Regardless of the ROSTER your Mom can send you the weapon as a gift.

Check with OC ARMORY (MIKE). They do this sort of transfer.

OC Indoor Range in Brea has (or at least had until recently) a pink/black Mosquito in the display case. You might check with them.

Yes, some FFLs submit the firearm as something it isn't, but it has to be the exact model on the list, as well as information which is not on the web page (sometimes you have to call and ask).

I have heard rumors of the DOJ sometimes doing something about it, but I think that in most cases there is no way for them to really know. I think that in the case where the DOJ did something, something triggered it, such as being far to obvious about it.

Thats what sucks about some of the manufacturers that use sku #'s for the roster. Some just say alloy, steel, etc. which leaves it open to color.

In both cases it is not open. The problem is that the DOJ does not put all of the information on the web page. They typically have more information, which you can get if you have a question and call.
