    SP2022 (Rail & Holster issue)

Recently acquired my new SP2022 (Exeter made) a few months ago. I got it as a replacement from my German made one when I sent it in to Sig for warranty repair with the frame. Here is the thread on that.

Since I have been stuck on my GSG 1911 fix for awhile, I've been neglecting my SP2022. Wanted to do some shooting from the draw today and noticed something. With my old model SigPro, I had already bought holsters to fit my old SP2022. The 1913 rails on the new SP2022 doesnt allow me to use my old holsters anymore!!!

So owners of the current production SP2022...what kind of holster do you have to accomodate the square rails instead of the curved ones from the German made SigPros?

I talked to Sig a few weeks ago, they said there ITac holsters (30 bucks or so) fit it. Safarialand makes the ALS/SLS that fit it. I'm about to get a .40 model, I'm looking for options too. The Itac I dont have alot of experience with though.

Yea, I had a thumbstrap thread a while back, for holsters. Someone posted a picture of a Sig Pro in a ALS or SLS holster, I cant remember which. In any case, I'm sure they have a .40 model in it. And yea locally it was hard as hell to find a .40 Sig Pro, my local FFL can get it in luckily now.

I use a Blackhawk CQC made for an XD 40, I heard it recommended to me a while back and it turns out to be true. Fits just fine and has done the job for numerous classes.

Yeah I already have a Bladetech kydex holster made for the XD and a Safariland 6004 thigh rig for the SP2022.

Im thinking about grinding away some material on my Bladetech holster to accommodate the square rails.

Yeah I think I heard it from the guys on Sigforums, since there's so few P2022 specific holsters. It's pretty much an exact fit, so the XD40 is really really close in dimension to the P2022 at least in the holster area.
