    Which would you buy? **Update**

Between a Sig Pro and a Smith & Wesson Sigma, which one would you get? The Sig is a 9mm, comes with 2 mags and 2 sets of grips and is on sale for $399. The Sigma is either 9mm or .40, SS slide, comes with 2 mags, and is on sale for $319, plus I can get 2 extra mags and $50 back from Smith & Wesson, making the total $269. plus 2 extra magazines. I already own a Sig Pro 2340 in .357 sig w/ a .40 barrel, a P226, and an P229.

Where is it on sale for $399? Since you already own a Sig Pro, I would say neither but if you had to go with one, the Sig Pro.

I have a sigma that I have owned for 7 years and I would not recomend it to anyone. It's not acurate at all and the trigger feels like garbage.

I've shot two Sig Pros and they were both the equal of my 229. Fantastic handguns, regardless of price.

What about adding a different manufacturer to the fold? Maybe a M&P? Same rebate/magazine offer applies...

Fugheddabout the Sigma, get the SigPro.

The Sigma is a short-service-life lower cost firearm for basic personal protection and not a lot of shooting.

It is not comparable to other synthetic guns like the SigPro, the S&W M&P, Glock, XD, etc.

In fact S&W was running an offer recently - buy an S&W M&P pistol and you can buy a Sigma simultaneously for just $99 extra.

Never shot a SigPro, but if you look at my sig line you will see my Sig line.
                    Go with the Sig!

I've owned and shot both, definitly go with the Sig! Here's another idea for you, I bought a Barsto 9mm drop in barrel for my Sig Pro 2340 and now I can shoot 9mm AND 40 cal out of the same gun using the same magazines! These barrels usually go for around 2 bills but you may find a deal at the Sig forum where I found mine. I paid about a hundred for mine and it was flawless.
A good rifle build isn't cheap, but a bad one can be expensive!

Sig all the way. They are reliable, accurate, and ergonomic. S&W makes great revolvers. The M&P is OK. The Sigma? That's a Glock knock off. Add to that Jason Bourne kept a SigPro in his safety deposit box in Geneva!

+1... Why not just get a real Sig?

I've actually been debating about selling my XD to fund a Glock or Sig. I'd definitely put it towards a Sig classic but wouldn't mind trying the Sig Pros either. If the trigger is as smooth as everyone says they are, then I would not be disappointed. Nothing wrong with the XD whatsoever and I'm quite accurate with it but I guess I got bored with it. I've put it up for sale before but I am not really disappointed that it hasn't sold.

I'm interested to know why all the neithers? Is it because most would rather put that money towards a more expensive gun?
