By protruding out of the slide, the extractor doubles as a LCI (loaded chamber indicator).Comment

Not my idea. This is what many other companies use to give their pistols a LCI.Comment

Normal. The extractor needs room to move, the rear end that you see is behind the pivot point. Beneath it is the spring that supplies tension to the extractor claw.
If you do a slo-mo chambering, you will see that protruding end go into the slide, then rise back out when the slide is fully forward.Last edited by Army; 12-21-2011, 7:34 AM."A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself...A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague."......CiceroComment
