Place in Sac to get a Beretta M9 repaired?

So, I have an M9 under warranty. The firing pin snapped. In order to do the warranty service, they require the whole pistol, not just the slide. :/ This means I have to fedex overnight it and insure it. That can get pretty expensive for a firing pin replacement. Is there maybe a cheaper local alternative?

You are right, I COULD do it myself. But I need specialized punches to remove the safety. I'd rather just have it taken care of under warranty or a cheaper local alternative at this point.

I would talk to beretta, explain it is under warranty and the cost of shipping. They should either cover the work with a local smith or send you a free shipping label.

            Ask this guy:

He sells Beretta parts and does gun smithing. He may or may not have this option listed on his website. If not, email him. I will bet he will accept you sending ONLY the slide to him.

Have you called Beretta? If it's under warranty they should email you a shipping label and fix it for free.

I called Beretta, they told me to call their authorized repair center in CA. Bolsa Gunsmithing is the place. They require the whole pistol. I'll shoot them an e-mail and see what can be done about shipping.

I'm telling ya... Contact Olhasso at the link I gave you above. He will only require the slide, and he is well known at the beretta forum.

He is a competitive shooter, so sometimes he'll be gone a week or so. But he will get back to ya

                      Well this is unfortunate.

It's their official policy for warrantied repairs that the customer pays to ship it to the service center. But they'll pay return shipping.

The requirements for shipping are a little annoying as well. All the papers you need are so dang easy to misplace.
