    ho...ly... crap...

    LCR in 22LR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this is NUTS! the only thing better would be 22mag or 17hmr

I'll bet money S&W makes another 22LR revolver soon that doesn't cost as much as an entry 1911

I don't see what's "nuts" about it, although I guess it's neat that another company decided to make a small .22 revolver besides NAA.

            Nice. Wish is DA/SA though.

It can put several holes in your body. Not much of a novelty if you are on the receiving end.

i suppose, but wouldn't the regular LCP be better? (or LC9)

                      1. 8 shots no recoil hits exactly where you point it
                      2. 5 shots snappy and loud!
                      3. No affordable 22lr revolver on the CA market right now
                      4. First 22lr if it's kind

I like it! Waaaaay better than having a stick when you're caught in a situation where where your assaulter is trying or about to hurt or kill you with something in his/her hand. that is not a stick. But...you must practice practice practice with it to help you place your shots into your assaulter for the purpose of stopping the threat. A few 22LRs from your gun from a distance beyond your assaulter's ability to grab, strike, or shoot you is always better. A firearm such as this helps level the playing field when the assaulter is armed with almost any gun. Even more so when you practice your shot placements.

Me? I always ccw something with .38+P as a minimum because I'm comfortable and accurate with it. I'm sure there are lots of citizens who can legally ccw and would benefit from the lower recoil and controllabilty of a .22LR defensive handgun. Imho, of course.

                          22LR as a defensive round? I don't think so.

8 rounds of .22LR into your face from a low recoiling, easily controllable gun? I would think so.

This LCR is a chambered in .22LR. Its physical dimensions indicate to me that it is primarily a ccw-type firearm that is not normally worn exposed on a hip holster. Sure, I suppose anyone could use this firearm as an offensive battle firearm/weapon, but I don't think its the intent of the design or caliber for this handgun. Its a defensive ccw-type firearm....easily concealed...unlike an offensive battle rifle or handgun in larger calibers....not so easily concealed.

Bigger is not always better for lots of folks when it comes to ccw defensive handguns and calibers.
